• Our main challenge this far has been water and lately we have had to purchase the same from local water vendors. We desperately look forward to the rainy season.
• We look forward to a visit by a group of friends from Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church (u.s).
• Please pray for our 2 form four students and the 10 class eight pupils who will be sitting for their national exams in October and November.
 
 
NEWSLETTER VOL. 4 Sept 2011
Dear friends, Warm greetings from Kajiado Children’s Home! There is so much to write about and yet so little space! As we come to the last few months of another year, we are overwhelmed by the love and partnership we have enjoyed through your prayers, your generous giving and visits. Below are just a few highlights.

In August, members of the Leone Kimwele Foundation spent a day with the children; played basketball (our children beat them!) and had interactive sessions. They brought along many gifts including items that the form ones will take to high school next year.
  
 
 
A group of friends from Northside Church Carolina led by Pastor Brandon Forsythe visited the home and painted the little boys’ dormitory.
The children enjoyed a great time of fun with a group of students from The Wolfert Van Borselein School in Holland. The group was led by two teachers; Marion Clay and Mr.Butt. The group sang and danced for the children and brought gifts including candy from Holland!
 
The Nation Media Group accompanied by members of the Leone Kimwele Foundation visited the children and brought each child a pair of new school shoes. I noticed a little fellow who sat silently and refused to step on the floor. He simply did not want his new shoes to get dirty!
