The Manna Community Project is affiliated (though separately funded) to the Kajiado Children’s Home; it is run by a committee in Kenya. The project is situated at Elangata Wuas, about one and a half hours drive from Kajiado Town along very rough tracks which become impassable after rain. The project exists to help these very poor people become self sufficient in the long term.

Achievements to date:-

Purchased twenty acres, this land is registered with the Office of the president.

The holding has one building which is used for secure storage and as living quarters for our site worker.

Medical clinics, we have held four to date.

Feeding programmes for the needy and provide high protein food for malnourished young children.

The land is fenced all round to stop unauthorised tree felling and grazing and has sign boards in place.

Successful “bush trekking safaris” led by local Maasai wardens, this helps provide jobs and income.

Our future plans include:-

Establishment of a secure clean water supply.

Establishment of a goat herd to enable us to operate a “Give a goat scheme”, to aid the poor in the community

Continue with mini clinics, hopefully on a regular basis as funds allow and distribute food aid from our existing building.
